'Country' captures Barnett’s wit and energetic approach to the trombone, through a variety of engaging compositions – from the alt-country/pop-tinged title track 'Country', to the distinctly north coast-flavoured 'Abercrombie Byron Hippie Knife Fight' and the catch dub groove of 'Pesos', the album is a journey through many stylistic influences, all the while retaining that strong and defined ensemble sound.
