The Meadowlands is the inaugural release from the Luke Howard  Trio.

 

The album explores the original tunes of pianist Luke Howard and bassist Jonathan Zion, in amongst a cover of producer Daniel Lanois' 'Flametop Green'.

Whilst the trio does not stray far from the jazz idiom, tunes such as 'Theme for an Untitled and Possibly Foreign Film' and 'Pebbles' reveal a minimalist aesthetic.
